Dennis E. Landberg, age 88, passed away on January 6, 2020 in Oak View, CA after a long illness.
Dennis was born in St. Paul, Minnesota to Dennis and Effie McLean Landberg on August 23, 1931. He attended schools in Ventura County, graduating from Ventura High School. He was a veteran of the USAF and came back to Ventura County to begin his career as a Licensed Land Surveyor and Civil Engineer. He was a member of the California Council of Civil Engineers and Land Surveyors, a life member of the California Land Surveyors Association and had been President of the Ventura Chapter of CLSA. He retired from his profession in 1992 and moved to his beloved lake house on Lake Coeur d’Alene where he enjoyed his retirement years.
Dennis is survived by his wife of 64 years, Sharon of Idaho, daughter Deborah (Richard) McKnight, son-in-law David Moon, Grandchildren Clint (Julie) McKnight, Shannon (Richard) Billic, Daniel (Catherine) Moon and Lauren Moon. He also had seven great grandchildren. Dennis was preceded in death by daughter Barbara Moon and grandson Jason McKnight.
The family would like to extend their gratitude towards Bonnie, Diane and Maria at Haave House for their compassionate care during his last few weeks.
Private services were held January 13 at Conejo Mountain Memorial Park in Camarillo. Arrangements are under the direction of JOSEPH P. REARDON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICE, in Ventura.
