Wilma Huey Wallace, 89, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Sunday, January 12, 2020, at Dorminy Medical Center in Fitzgerald, Georgia.
Graveside services will be held 12 Noon, Wednesday, January 15, 2020, at Evergreen Cemetery, in Fitzgerald, with the Rev. B.J. Funk officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the funeral home in Fitzgerald, Georgia.
Mrs. Wallace was born December 6, 1930, in Wilcox County, Georgia, to the late James C. & Dolly Edith Paige Huey. She lived in the community all of her life and was a seamstress for H.R. Kaminsky & Sons and a homemaker. Mrs. Wallace also provided daycare in her home. She enjoyed shopping, yard sales, antiques and thrift stores. Mrs. Wallace had a passion for the Humane Society and always bought supplies for them.
She is survived by her children: John Daniel “Pete” Stubbs & Linda of Stockbridge, Ralph E. Wallace & Linda of Talladega, Alabama, Harold Wallace, Jr. & Elizabeth of Manchester and Kristie Wallace Thompson of Fitzgerald; 15 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and one great-great-great-grandchild. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Glynn Wallace; a grandson, Daniel Stubbs and a brother Alton Bagwell.
