Obituary

WEBSTER – Janice (Quinn) Lucier, 81, died Friday, January 10, 2020 in Webster Manor after a period of declining health. Her husband of 52 years, Edward L. Lucier, died in 2014.

She leaves a son, Scott M. Lucier and his wife Christine of Webster; 3 grandchildren, Amy Kirwan and her husband David, Dalton E. Lucier and Sydney E. Lucier and her companion Jon Pye; 3 great-grandchildren, Delaney, Cooper and Lennox; a sister, Margaret Quinn of Auburn; her former daughter-in-law, Patricia Lucier of Webster; and nieces and nephews. She also leaves her beloved grand-dog Tasha, a German Shepherd. She was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph “Butch” Quinn and by a sister, Catherine Quinn.

She was born on October 30, 1938 in Worcester, the daughter of Joseph T. and Helen E. (Olson) Quinn and raised there. She graduated from Commerce High School in 1956. She had lived in Webster since 1987.

Mrs. Lucier worked as a cashier at Cumberland Farms in Oxford before retiring. She enjoyed reading and going to see lighthouses in Rhode Island. Her family was her treasure.

As she wished, no services are planned. Donations in her name may be made to Hospice of Western & Central Mass., g1325 Springfield Street, Suite 12, Feeding Hills, MA 01030. Arrangements are under the direction of Sitkowski, Malboeuf & Hickey Funeral Home, 340 School St., Webster.
