Chester Ray Strayer, 58, of Tifton passed away Thursday, January 9, 2020, at Navicent Health in Macon. A graveside funeral service will be held for Mr. Strayer at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 13, 2020, at Pineview Holiness Baptist Church Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest. The Rev. Joseph L. Crumley will officiate. The family will receive friends Monday, January 13, 2020, at the graveside at Pineview Holiness Baptist Church Cemetery from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of the service.
Born March 3, 1961 in Mottville, Michigan, Mr. Strayer was the son of the late Henry Ralph Strayer and Betsy Vordine Strayer. He was a self-employed truck driver.
Mr. Strayer is survived by one daughter, Tracy Kennedy; and two brothers and one sister-in-law, Jess and Cindy Strayer of Hitchcock, Texas and Rick Strayer of Michigan.
