Barbra Harrison Evers, 78, of Ocilla passed away Thursday, January 9, 2020, at her residence. Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 13, 2020, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Sonny Pate and the Rev. Harris Johnson officiating. Mrs. Evers will be laid to rest at a later date at Waterloo Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday, January 12, 2020, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Born March 23, 1941 in Ben Hill County, Mrs. Evers was the daughter of the late Rueal Harrison and Ruth Naomi White Harrison. She was a homemaker. She married her husband, Oscar, on January 11, 1960, and they were rarely seen apart for just short of 60 years.
Mrs. Evers is survived by her husband of almost 60 years, Oscar Evers of Ocilla; one sister and brother-in-law, Mildred and Lankford Aycock of Fitzgerald; and numerous nieces and nephews.
