Stanley H. Slowik Jr, age 80, passed away at home surrounded by is loving family on Tues. Jan 7, 2020. He was born in Holyoke on Dec 6, 1939 to the late Stanley A. and Emily (Gonet) Slowik. Stanley is a Navy Veteran who served as an electrician and later worked at Spaulding as an electrician before retiring. He is a former member of the Polish National Church and the Amherst Railroad Society. He leaves his wife of 54 years Marie J. (DeLoria) of Chicopee; two sons; Michael Slowik and his wife Kimberley of Springfield and James Slowik and his wife Carlene of Chicopee; one sister, Marilyn LaPlante of Chicopee; six grandchildren Shane, Devin, and Samantha Slowik, Craig, Jessica, and Damien Cox and three great grandchildren, Ryen, Jayden and Richard Cox. A Funeral Service will be held on Tues, Jan 14, 2020 at 10 a.m. at the Grise Funeral Home 280 Springfield St. Chicopee with burial to follow at the MA Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Agawam. Visiting Hours will be held on Tues, Jan 14, 2020 from 9 to 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
