Obituary

CHICOPEE ~ James W. “Jim” Pepin, 49, of the Chicopee Falls section of Chicopee, was Called Safely Home on Wednesday, January 8, 2020. He passed into Eternal Life at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield surrounded by the care and comfort of his loving family. He was born in Holyoke on April 25, 1970, a beloved son of Mary C. (LaDuke) Pepin of Chicopee and the late David O. Pepin who was Called Home on September 6, 2008. He was raised in Chicopee Falls, graduated from Chicopee Comprehensive High School and had lived in Chicopee his entire life. He was employed at BJ’s Wholesale Club in Chicopee. During his leisure time, he enjoyed listening to music and attending concerts. An avid movie trivia buff, he could quote lines from almost any movie. He also was an avid New England sports fan and loved cheering on his Bruins, Patriots, Celtics and Red Sox. Above all, he loved spending time with his family and his many friends. In addition to his mother, he leaves the love of his life and soul mate, Diana L. Pepin of Chicopee; his beloved stepdaughter, Jessica Taft and her husband, Frank, of Chicopee; his two cherished step-granddaughters, Sonia and Mia Taft; his loving brothers and sisters, Mary Beth Pepin and her husband, Jose Lopez, of Bakersfield, CA, Shelley Edler and her husband, Christian, of Chicopee, David Pepin of Chicopee, Richard Pepin and his wife, Jennifer, of East New Market, MD, Thomas Pepin of Chicopee and Denise M. Noble and her husband, Matthew, of Chicopee; and his many dear uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and extended members of the Pepin, LaDuke and LaGue families. Jim will also be sadly missed by his beloved dog, Jaxon. In addition to his father, he was predeceased by his two dear brothers, Joseph R. Pepin who was Called Home on August 16, 1998 and Daniel R. Pepin who was Called Home on January 26, 1973. At James’ request, his funeral services are private. There are no visiting hours.
