Linton S. Smith, Sr., 92, of Winder passed away Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at Winder Health and Rehabilitation.
Linton was born on November 23, 1927 in Tifton. He was a Dye Sharpener for the U. S. Envelope Company. Linton enjoyed being outdoors and in his younger years he loved to fish and hunt. He was also a member of the Winder First Baptist Church
He is survived by his son, Steve (Sharon D.) Smith, Jr. of Bethlehem; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Milton Wesley and Alice Idora Tyson Smith, his wife, Virginia Shehee Smith and one great-grandchild. Linton was the last of ten children.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, January 11, 2020 at Perry Funeral Chapel with interment to follow in Bethel Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 10:00 AM until the hour of services Saturday at the funeral home.
