Obituary

Cornish - Patricia Ann " Patti" Dyer, 83, of Cornish passed away on January 3, 2020 at her home surrounded by family and friends. She was born in Haverhill, Mass. on May 4, 1936, the second of five children to Kelsey and Phyllis (Petto) Phinney. At a young age the family of 5, at that time, moved to Leeds, Maine to her grandparents farm, then later to South Windham, Maine where whe was educated in Windham schools.

Patti was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker her entire life. Her passion was cooking, cleaning and baking. She was also an avid reader. She enjoyed watching television, especially Western shows. Her homemade biscuits were a favorite and always requested during annual hunting trips and at the end of hunting season when everyone would gather for Mulligan Stew and her delicious biscuits. Her cookie jar was always full and her no-bake cookies were always given as Christmas presents. She will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.

Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her first husband, LaForest "Joe" Manchester Jr., her second husband, Teddy Dyer, and three brothers: Robert, Ronnie and Paul Phinney.

Surviving are her three children, daughter Linda Liberty and husband Gary of Hiram, and sons Darin Manchester and wife Nicole of Cornish and Michael Manchester of Cornish. Three grandchildren: Tracy Liberty and her partner Chris Bernazzani of Brownfield, Jessie Manchester and his wife Sadie of Sanford and Hannah Manchester of Cornish. Great grandchildren, 2 year old Kelsey Rose and 3 week old Lillian Icelynn Manchester. She also leaves behind one brother, William Phinney of Litchfield as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family would like to thank all those who helped in providing her compassionate and alternative care: Dr. Ray and Dr. McElroy and Sacopee Valley Health Center, Beth Porter, Dr. Burkee at Maine Cardiology, Dr. Weldner now of Central Maine Medical Center, the doctors and nurses at Maine Medical Center and Mercy Hospital, Kezar Falls E.M.T's, Cheryl Hevey at Bonny Memorial Library, and a very special thank you to her "angels" Mary Jane Ducette, Santana Eastman, Sarah Levy, and Hope and Bethany from Northern Light Homecare and Hospice.
