FALL RIVER… Denise Schlemmer, 67, of Fall River passed away at Charlton Memorial Hospital January 2, 2020.
She was born in Fall River a daughter of the late Walter L. and Pauline (Simmons) Schlemmer and had been a lifelong resident of this city.
She was employed as a C.N. A. before retiring.
Ms. Schlemmer enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Survivors include 2 sons: Kenneth Souza and his companion Fatima Pereira, Mark Souza and his companion Stacy Resendes all of Fall River, 2 daughters: Julie Souza and her companion Philip Jesus, Kimberly R. Machado all of Fall River, a step-son Paul E. Machado, Jr. of Fall River, 3 step-daughters: Paula Pacheco of Somerset, Lisa Machado, Christine St. Pierre both of Fall River, a brother Rev. Robert Schlemmer of Louisiana, 6 grandchildren, 9 step-grandchildren, 9 step-great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Walter L. Schlemmer, Jr. and the step-grandmother of the late Jada Thompson and Dylan Machado.
Services to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at 7:00 P.M. at the SOUTH COAST FUNERAL HOME, 1555 Pleasant Street, Fall River. Calling hours Wednesday 5:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. prior to the service.
