Earl T. Sibley, age 85, passed away on Dec. 26, 2019 at home. He was born on Dec. 12, 1934 in Mangum, OK, a son of the late James Earl and Ola T. (Miller) Sibley. Earl worked as a computer programmer for Travelers Insurance Company for many years before he retired. He was a Vietnam Veteran of the US Airforce and a recipient of a Purple Heart among many other awards and honors. He was a member of the American Legion War Memorial in Holyoke. Earl enjoyed listening to Country music and spending time with his family. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Dianna B. (Fontaine) Sibley of Chicopee; 2 sons, James Sibley of MI and Glenray Sibley and his wife Erica of Valdosta, GA; 2 daughters, Melinda Gebo and her husband Michael of Chicopee and Lynnette Sibley of Chicopee; 9 Grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. He is predeceased by his sister Patsy Richardson and one granddaughter Shellane Sibley. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2020 from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at the Grise Funeral Home, 280 Springfield St, Chicopee. Military honors will be rendered on Thursday, Jan. 2, 2020 at 10:00 AM in the chapel of the MA Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Agawam.
