Carol C. (Moran) Roy, age 86, passed away peacefully at home on Dec. 24, 2019. She was born on Dec. 26, 1932 in Hartford, CT, a daughter of the late Walter and Helen (August) Moran. She was a communicant of Holy Name of Jesus Parish. Carol worked at Monsanto for 11 years before she retired. She is predeceased by her husband Raymond F. Roy who passed away in 2001. She is survived by her 2 sons, Robert Roy and David Roy of Chicopee; 3 daughters, Ann Marie Leja and her husband Ken of Oldsmar, FL, Mary Ellen Fournier and her husband David of Feeding Hills, and Carolyn Suprenant and her husband James of Chicopee; 1 sisters, Maureen Shiels of VA; 10 beloved grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her brother Robert Moran and her three sisters Kathleen Leonard, Betty Johnson and Helen Moriarty. The family would like to thank the Holyoke VNA and Hospice, Western Mass Elder Care and all friends who helped throughout her illness, with a special thanks to Bonnie. Calling hours will be held on the morning of the funeral, Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2019 from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at the Grise` Funeral Home, 280 Springfield St, Chicopee followed by a Funeral Home Prayer Service at 11:00 AM. Burial will take place in Calvary Cemetery. Carol was an avid contributor to St Jude’s and her family would like any memorial contributions to be made to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl, Memphis, TN, 38105.
