Cecile Y. (Fortier) Hart, 88, a longtime resident of Derry, NH died Sunday, January 29, 2006 in the Parkland Medical Center in Derry. Cecile was the beloved wife of the late Lawrence A. Hart and sister of the late Noella Sutton. Originally from Quebec, her family moved to Rumford, Maine where she attended and graduated from grade and high school. A beautician by trade, she did volunteer work for the Red Cross. She married Lawrence A. Hart, a WWII Army Air Corps veteran, and moved to Lawrence, MA. She moved to Derry in 1978 where she and her husband built their dream house. After the death of her husband, Cecile moved into town where she resided until becoming a resident of the Pleasant Valley Nursing Center.
A niece and nephew, Pauline and Anthony Cannone, two grandnieces, a grandnephew, three great grandnieces, and four great grandnephews survive Cecile.
As per Cecile’s wishes, there were no services or viewing. Interment with her husband will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery, East Derry, in the spring. Donations in Cecile’s memory may be made to the Community Care Givers, 58 East Broadway, Derry, NH 03038. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry is handling the arrangements.
