Mr. Gerard P. LeBlanc a resident of North Andover and beloved husband of Therese Rheaume LeBlanc and the late Dorothy R. LeBlanc, passed away on Monday morning, December 16, 2019. He was 89 years old.
Born in Charlo New Brunswick, Canada he was the beloved son of the late Joseph and Cecile (Lavoie) LeBlanc. Jerry was a US Navy veteran.
In civilian life, Jerry was employed by Raytheon as a Manager of engineering for many years until his retirement. An astounding mentor to family and friends, carpenter, repair man, electrician, musician, dancer, and genealogist he left no stone unturned and never missed a beat on the dance floor. He passed his knowledge and joie de vivre to his children and grandchildren. Admired by all, a man with a pure heart and his word as good as gold, he leaves behind stories of his youth, travel overseas, a library of genealogy research, many meticulous workshop projects, and especially the many years spent together at the family lake-house in Maine and dancing with him as though we were Ginger Rogers and him Fred Astaire. He will be dearly missed.
Besides his beloved wife, Therese, he is survived by his loving daughters; Cheryl LeBlanc and significant other Robert Coffman, Nancy and her husband Harry Garabedian, Lisa and her husband Michael Kahlke, sister; Claire and her husband Richard Berube, grandchildren; Erik, Andrea, Seth, Ethan and Adam and great-grandchildren; Cameron and Jacob.
His funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Michael Church, 196 Main Street, North Andover on Saturday, December 21, 2019 at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are most welcome to attend. Calling hours will be held in the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 North Main Street, Andover on Friday, December 20, 2019 from 5 to 8 PM. Interment will be in St. Mary Cemetery in Tewksbury.
