Harold E. “Bud” Butler Jr., age 64, passed away at home after a brief illness, on Dec. 11 surrounded by his beloved family. He was born on March 19, 1955 in Springfield, the son of the late Harold and Clementine "Daisy" (Hackney) Butler. He worked as a Quality Control Engineer for the Wood Group in East Windsor, CT for many years. Bud enjoyed to play golf, soccer, watching New England Sports and enjoyed filling the house with music on his own personal station WBUD. He leaves his loving wife Karen (Demers) Butler of Chicopee; 2 daughters, Pam Schricker and her husband Matt of Weymouth and Jill Mahan and her husband Ryan of Westfield; 1 sister Barbara Bolko and her husband Tom of Portsmouth, NH. He also leaves the loves of his life, his 2 grandchildren, Julia and Chloe. He also leaves his brother-in-law Jim Demers of Holyoke and his sister-in-law Lynn Demers of Boston, who showed tremendous support during his illness and his beloved K9 Companion Mac. There will be a Celebration of Life on Sunday, December 15, 2019 from 1pm - 4pm at the Collegian Court in Chicopee. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Baystate Health Foundation, 280 Chestnut Street, Springfield, MA 01199. The Grise Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
