To my close friends and family,
It's with a heavy heart that my dad, Dana Brown, passed away this past Saturday, December 7th at around 6pm. I knew that this day would be coming sooner than expected as he'd been dealing with multiple health problems, but I'd never thought in a million years that it would be this soon.
My dad was the most unique person that I've ever had the pleasure to have in my life. My dad was a musician at heart, with moments stained in my memories of him playing his guitar, music flooding the house that i could listen to forever. The memories of my first concerts that he took me to, a wide smile of pride on his face as i recite every lyric to "5:15" or "War Pigs". His love of riding motorcycles brings back memories of when he bought a motorcycle with a backbar so i could begin to tag along on his crazy adventures on the road. If the sun was out, the bike was out, and that's how its always been (and always will be, of course).
I could go on for days with stories and memories like these, but I'll keep it short and just say that i would not be the person i am today without this man, and for that i will be forever grateful for the impact and lessons he's made in my life.
