Obituary

Dorothy I. Salisbury, 90, died Friday, December 6, 2019 with her daughter by her side at Matulaitis Nursing Home in Putnam, Connecticut. She was the widow of Lawrence Salisbury. They had been married for 27 years at the time of his death. She was the mother of Anna Smith of Sterling CT., John Salisbury of Sterling, CT, and George Salisbury of Danielson, CT

Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Peter and Anna (Raldocin) Ondrasek. She had lived in Foster for 25 years before moving to Danielson, CT.

Dorothy had worked as a preschool aide at QVCC before retiring. She had previously worked as a nurse’s aide for over 20 years.

One of Dorothy’s favorite pastimes was watching old black and white movies. She always loved children and during her senior years she enjoyed babysitting the children at Quinebaug Valley Community College.

Besides her children; she is survived by her grandchildren: Robert Smith, Kristal, Garrett and Adam Salisbury, all of Sterling, CT and her siblings: Edward Ondrasek of Rotonda West, FL, Anna Mae Patterson of Lincoln, RI and James Ondrasek of of Roseville, CA. She was predeceased by her former husband, Lawrence Salisbury.

A visitation will be held Tuesday 4-7pm in the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Rt 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. A prayer service will be held at 6:30pm. Burial private. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to Matulaitis Nursing Home, 10 Thurber Road, Putnam, Connecticut 06260
