Robert Lawrence Escutia, 82, of Londonderry, NH, died Wednesday, December 4, 2019, in Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, MA. He was born in Cicero, IL, on August 11, 1937, a son of Hesiquio and Vlasta (Brejcha) Escutia.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Diane (Machian) Escutia; two sons, Michael Escutia and Anthony Escutia; grandson, Avery Escutia; sister, Doris Hanke; brother, Richard Escutia, and several nieces and nephews.
Robert was a genuine, selfless and supportive, patient, funny, and loving individual whose good-natured spirit was a joy and comfort to all those who knew him. He was a dedicated employee of Western Electric and its successor companies, enjoying all of his 43 years of service and the many lasting relationships that arose from there, including, most importantly, Diane.
His ever-evolving list of hobbies involved but was certainly not limited to following his favorite Chicago sports teams, a good book, a nightly movie, and above all, time with friends and family.
Calling hours were held on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 from 2:00pm to 3:30pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Road, Londonderry. Funeral services followed at 3:30pm in the funeral home. A private burial will be held in the NH State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen, NH.
