Michael Dale Smith, 78, of Anderson, died December 3, 2019, at St. Vincent Seton Specialty Hospital after a two year illness.
Michael was born August 2, 1941 in Anderson, the son of Elnore and Ethel Leona (Hayes) Smith. He was a graduate of Anderson High School class of 1959.
He worked as an electrical engineer for Anderson Light and Power 43 years. He had served as Harbor Master at Muncie Sail Club at Prairie Creek Reservoir and enjoyed golf and woodworking.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Diana (Rogers) Smith and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Norman Smith and sister, Gloria LaRue.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, December 9, 2019 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with burial to follow at East Maplewood Cemetery.
Visitation will be held 2 hours prior to the service on Monday.
The family requests you dress casually for the service.
