Worcester – Veronica J. (Burgess) Brodeur Pardee, 61, of Worcester passed away peacefully on Friday, November 29th in UMass Memorial Medical Center- University Campus while surrounded by her loving family.
Veronica was a kind hearted woman and devoted mother who would do anything for anyone; she leaves behind her three sons, Richard Brodeur of Worcester, Keith Brodeur of Worcester and Anthony Brodeur Sr. of Worcester; her mother, Ellen M. (Joyce) Davio of North Fort Myers, FL; a brother, Warren Burgess of North Fort Myers, FL; two sisters, Joyce Besaw of Worcester and Julie LaBonte of Ipswich, NH; 8 grandchildren; a great grandchild; four aunts; a niece; two nephews; many cousins, including Gina Hultgren of Fitchburg who was a lifelong friend of 55 years. Veronica also leaves behind the love of her life, David Gagnon of Worcester; a sister in law Judi Brodeur of Martha’s Vineyard, MA with whom she was deeply connected for many years.
Veronica was born in Worcester, son of the late, Warren E. Burgess and is also predeceased by a sister, Andrea Davio. She graduated from Burncoat High School in Worcester and worked for over 30 years in the envelope industry retiring from Classic Envelope where she worked as a machine operator for many years.
She was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer just a short four months ago, and she fought the disease with all of her might and strength until the very end. Veronica’s memory will forever live on through her kindness and generosity. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Family was at the heart of her life and it was exemplified with her helping to raise her grandson, Anthony Brodeur Jr.
Veronica enjoyed horses, fishing and bowling but she was truly the happiest when she was able to spend quality with family.
Funeral services are being held privately and at the convenience of the family. Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. Worcester is assisting the family with arrangements.
