Fall River – Laurie (Davis) Deschenes, 53, of Westport, died Friday, January 27, 2006 at Highlander Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after a long illness.
She was born in Fall River, daughter of John R. Davis of Westport and the late Catherine (Pettengill) Davis, and had resided in Westport for most of her life. She attended Calvary Bible Church, Westport and Salvation Army Church, Fall River. Mrs. Deschenes was an avid reader who enjoyed arts and crafts, but most of all loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Including her father, she is survived by 2 daughters: Leslie R. Roy of North Dartmouth and Aimee S. Deschenes of Fall River; 2 brothers: John P. Davis of Fairhaven and Rodman Davis of Westport; a sister: Catherine E. Davis of Westport; 2 grandchildren: Andrea L. Deschenes and James H. Roy; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside service to which relatives and friends are invited will be Wednesday, February 1, 2006 at Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport at 10:00 A.M.
