Armand J. Desnoyers, 89

Armand J. Desnoyers, age 89, of Norton, formerly of Rehoboth, passed away unexpectedly at home on Saturday, November 30, 2019. He was the husband of the late Carol A. (Watterson) Desnoyers, to who he was wed for thirty-one years at the time of her death on July 29, 2013.
Born in Providence, Rhode Island on September 3, 1930, he was a son of the late Joseph and Edith Desnoyers.
Armand grew up in Cumberland, RI and was a graduate of Cumberland High School. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army during the Korean War and was honorably discharged from active duty on July 26, 1953 with the rank of Sergeant.
He had resided in Norton for the past fourteen years and formerly lived for many years in Rehoboth. Prior to retiring, Mr. Desnoyers was employed as an assembly line worker at the former General Motors Plant in Framingham and later worked part time at the Auto Auction in Raynham.
Armandwas a member of the Lieutenant Harold A. Healy American Legion Post 222 in Norton and enjoyed attending meat raffles and playing bingo at the Norton VFW. He also enjoyed attending activities at Woodland Meadows in Norton.
He is survived by his children: Deborah Buffi of Lincoln, RI, Cheryl Bushee of Cumberland, RI, Karen Murphy of Lincoln, RI, Marc Desnoyers of Colorado, Michael Desnoyers of Cumberland, RI, Wayne Desnoyers of Smithfield, RI, Peter Desnoyers of Pawtucket, RI, Paul Desnoyers of New Hampshire and Ann Marie Desnoyers of Oregon. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
At his family’s request, services and burial will be private and visiting hours have been omitted.
