John P. McHugh, a 5 year resident of Hampton New Hampshire and formerly of Belmont and Watertown, entered into eternal life suddenly on Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at his residence and was reunited with his beloved wife Debbie, who passed away on October 19, 2019. He was 61 years of age.
John was born in Boston on October 3, 1958, a son of the late Hubert J. McHugh and Shirley A. (Lanigan) McHugh. He grew up in Watertown where he was educated in the Watertown Public School system and graduated from Watertown High School in 1976. John's main occupation in life was a truck driver. He enjoyed walking Hampton Beach, attending his grandson's hockey games, and spending time with his grandchildren.
John is the beloved husband of 37 years to the late Deborah A. "Debbie" (Poirier) McHugh. He is the loving father of Jacqueline Sousa and her husband Bert, and John McHugh and his wife Colleen. He is the loving Papa to Gabby, Lexi, Evie, Sean and Kallie. He is the brother of Mark McHugh, Brian McHugh, Robert McHugh, and the late James McHugh, Paul McHugh, and Maureen Waldron. He is the nephew of Beth Lanigan, Jane Nolan, Maryellen Ross, and Paul Lanigan. He is also survived by his beloved dog Tank.
John's Funeral services and burial will be private.
