WORCESTER-Barbara A. (Knight) Simoncini, 80 of 40 Acushnet Avenue, died Thursday, January 26th in Saint Vincent Hospital. Her husband, Edward J. Simoncini, Sr. died in 1962. She leaves 3 sons, Robert F. Simoncini of Worcester, Edward J. Simoncini, Jr. of Westminster, and Paul F. Simoncini of Laredo, TX, 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
She was born in Newburyport, MA, the daughter of Franklin D. and Marian G. (Akerman) Knight. Mrs. Simoncini was a graduate of Commerce High School, and worked as a bookkeeper at St. Peter Marion High School for 27 years. She was a member of St. Joan of Arc Church and enjoyed reading, gardening, and genealogy.
The funeral is Monday, January 30th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Joan of Arc Church, 570 Lincoln Street. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery. Calling hours are Sunday, January 29th from 3:00 until 6:00 PM in the funeral home.
