Obituary

Frank Marsella, 101, died Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at Elmhurst Extended Care in Providence. He was the husband of Frances A. (Warchol) who died in November, 2005.

Born in Harrisville, he was one of eight children of the late Guisepee and Bernarda (Gallange) Marsella. He had worked as a commercial artist for RI Hospital in Providence for 17 years before retiring in 1983. He was a WWII Army Veteran serving in the Infantry.

He enjoyed playing the harmonica and the guitar.

He is survived by his sister, Mary Inglesi of Cranston, his grandchildren: Laurie Fisher, Cherri Vedder and Gary Vedder, all of Connecticut, his great grandchildren: Marissa Vedder of Cranston, Jessica Vedder of West Warwick, Mark Hyer of North Carolina and Melissa Vedder of West Warwick. He is survived by many nieces and nephews. He was the stepfather of the late Carol Vedder and brother of the late Charles, Susan, Alfred, Agnes Marsella, Alda Ventrone and Sadie DiMeglio.

His funeral service will be held Monday at noon in the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Rt 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Burial will follow in Rehoboth Village Cemetery, Rehoboth, MA. Visitation will be Monday morning, 11-12noon.
