New Bedford – Joaquim Roger Harrison, age 78, of New Bedford, passed away at home on November 22, 2019 with his family at his side. He was the beloved husband of the late Sandra (DaSilva) Harrison.
Born in New Bedford, MA, he was the son of the late Robert Henry Harrison and the late Alice (Perry) Ramos. Joaquim was a veteran of the Marine Reserves and had worked as a fish lumper for a local fish house.
He is survived by his; son, Jack Harrison of New Bedford; daughter, Donna Lee Pires and her husband George of New Bedford; two granddaughters, Brianna Pires and Leigham Pires; a sister, Doreen Lopes; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Services were private at the request of the family.
