Theresa C. (Curran) Roche, a 5 year resident of Rockland and former 37 year resident of Townsend and formerly of Charlestown, entered into eternal life suddenly on Saturday, November 23, 2019 and was reunited with her beloved husband Bill who passed away on Sunday, August 18, 2019. Theresa was 81 years of age.
Theresa was born in Boston on December 1, 1937, a daughter of the late Lawrence R. Curran and Elizabeth G. (Fox) Curran. She grew up in Charlestown where she was educated at St. Mary's Parochial School and graduated from Charlestown High School in 1955. Theresa worked for New England Telephone Company many years ago in her early adult life and for the most of her adult life she has been a homemaker where she cared for her husband and son. She was a former member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Townsend VFW Post. Theresa enjoyed doing puzzles and always took special care of the family laundering and her meticulous way of folding and placing away her clean clothes. Most important in her life were her 5 grandchildren and the quality moments she was able to spend with each one of them.
Theresa is the beloved wife of the late William V. "Bill" Roche. She is the devoted mother of James M. "Jim" Roche and his wife Patricia. She is the loving Nanny to Dominic, Elizabeth, Aidan, Gabrielle and Nicholas. She is the beloved sister of Catherine "Kay" West and the late Marilyn Mullaney, Lawrence R. Curran Jr., Patricia Sullivan, Gertrude Toner, Joan Matarazzo and Catherine "Kay" Hickey. She is also survived by her many loving nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Theresa's Funeral on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at 10 A.M. from The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by her Funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church, 55 Warren St. Charlestown at 11 A.M. Her burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden. Her visiting hours will be on Monday, December 2, 2019 from 4 to 8 P.M. in the funeral home.
