Gallian and his wife Valerie of Abington and Robert F. Gallian and his wife Kathy of E. Bridgewater. Grandfather of Kristy Gallian of E. Bridgewater, Jennifer and Jamie Gallian both of Abington and the late Christopher Gallian formerly of E. Bridgewater and great grandfather of Shawn Raymond, Jr., Emanuel and Jaidyn Baptista all of E. Bridgewater.
Funeral Service in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Monday at 11am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery, Brockton. Visiting hours Sunday 2-6 pm.
Obituary
Mr. Gallian died Wednesday afternoon at his home in East Bridgewater after a period of failing health. Born in Bradshaw, West Virginia, the son of the late Farris E. Gallian, Sr. and Anna (Welch) Gallian. He was raised and educated in West Virginia. Following school Farris joined the Navy and proudly served our country for four years during WW II. After his discharge from the service Mr.Gallian moved to various towns in the South Shore before making his permanent home in East Bridgewater in 1964. He worked for Alden Products in Brockton as a sheet metal worker for 45 years, before retiring 15 years ago. Farris will be remembered by his family and friends for his strong work ethic; even after his retirement he went on to work for the Stop & Shop Company just to remain active only stopping due to illness in 2002. He will be missed for his loving, caring and independent nature. He had a passion for golf, but his greatest love was to be the best grandfather and family man.
