Obituary

LUDLOW ~ M. Martha (Boule) LeHouiller, 94, of Ludlow and a longtime resident of Chicopee Falls, was Called Safely Home on Wednesday, November 20, 2019. She entered into Eternal Life at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family. She was born in Adamsville, Province of Quebec, Canada on December 26, 1924, a beloved daughter of the late Osias and Alma (Cadieux) Boule. She was raised in Chicopee Falls, graduated from Cathedral High School in Springfield and had lived in Chicopee Falls and wintered with her late husband at Molokai Park in Leesburg, FL. She moved to Ludlow in 2014 where she lived the remainder of her life. Active in her Catholic faith, she was a communicant of the former Saint George Church in Chicopee Falls. She was a proud member of the Children of Mary, the Ladies of Saint Anne Sodality and the Parent Teachers Group. Following the closing of her beloved church, she became a communicant of Sainte Rose de Lima Church in Chicopee and Saint Elizabeth Catholic Community at Saint John the Baptist Church in Ludlow. During her leisure time, she loved reading the newspaper and looking at the many photo albums that she created. Above all, she was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother who loved spending time with her family and her many friends. She was predeceased by her beloved husband and best friend, Robert E. “Bob” LeHouiller. They were married on October 2, 1948 at Saint George Church in Chicopee Falls and were blessed with over 68 years of happiness together. She leaves her ten loving children, Madeleine Bragga and her husband, James, of Ludlow, Gerald LeHouiller and his partner, Irene Leitao, of Enfield, CT, Denise Cusson and her husband, Joe, of Leesburg, FL, Anne Marie Bussolini and her husband, Mark, of Boise, ID, Raymond LeHouiller and his wife, Karen, of Chicopee, Francis LeHouiller and his wife, Jackie, of Chicopee, Mark LeHouiller of Tulsa, OK, Pauline Pietras of Chicopee, Michelle Annecchiarico and her husband, Pat, of Ludlow and Norm LeHouiller of Westfield; her two “Adopted” daughters, Gail Murowski and her husband, John, and her caregiver, Kathy Caloon of Chicopee; her two loving former daughters-in-law, Laurie Mazzetti of Longmeadow and Robin Blanchette-Gage of Chicopee; her cherished 19 grandchildren and her six cherished great-grandchildren; her brother, Jean George Boule and his wife, Eleanor, of Chicopee; and her many friends and extended members of the LeHouiller, Boule and Boulay families. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her loving son, Robert LeHouiller who was Called Home on July 24, 2019; her loving son-in-law, Stephen Pietras who was Called Home on September 6, 2019; her cherished grandson, Jeremy LeHouiller; and her brother and sister-in-law, Robert Boulay and his wife, Lorraine. Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 beginning at the St. Pierre – Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels, (413-532-9806), 13 Dale Street, Chicopee, MA 01020, (funeral home will open at 8:30 a.m.), followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Sainte Rose de Lima Church, 600 Grattan Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. Her burial will follow the Mass at Sainte Rose Cemetery, 49 Olsen Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, November 25, 2019 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. The parking lot and main entrance are located at the rear of the funeral home at 20 Lafayette Street, Chicopee, MA 01020.
