Michelle (Dupont) Gomes, 64 of New Bedford died November 6, 2019 unexpectedly at home.
She was the wife of the late Gary M. Gomes.
Born in Acushnet, daughter of the late Raymond G. and Dorrance E. (Joncas) Dupont, she lived in New Bedford most of her life.
Mrs. Gomes was formerly employed as a secretary at Carney Academy for over 20 years until her retirement.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include 2 sons, Mathew Gomes and Aaron Gomes, both of New Bedford; a brother, Paul Dupont and his wife Mariann of Lynn; a granddaughter, Juliana Gomes; 2 grandsons, Garret Gomes and Eli Gomes; 2 nieces, Danielle and Hailey; a nephew, Jeffrey; and several cousins.
Her Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 20th at 10 AM at Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 121 Mt. Pleasant St., New Bedford. Burial to follow in Rural Cemetery.
