Patricia (Stetson) Donovan, 64 of East Bridgewater, passed away just before midnight on November 10 in the Boston Medical Center, after a brief illness.
She was the daughter of the late Paul Stetson and Mary Evelyn Stetson of Whitman and the sister of the late Paul Stetson, Jr. of Hanover and the late Ann (Stetson) Thompson of Hanson.
She is survived by her sister Cheryl (Stetson) Quaglia and brother-in-law Charles Quaglia of East Bridgewater, as well as her brother-in-law David Thompson of Hanson. She is also survived by her nephew Erik Thompson of Saline, Michigan, niece Tracy (Thompson) Enos of Whitman, nephews Christopher and Chad Quaglia of East Bridgewater, and great nephews Ethan and Ryan Enos of Whitman.
Patty was beloved by all of her nieces and nephews who truly thought of her as a “second mother and grandmother”.
Patty had worked for over forty years, along with her three siblings, and was a part owner of their family business the former Paradise Water Gardens of Whitman. Her experience, knowledge and enthusiasm for water gardening made her an irreplaceable part of the business for so many years garnering countless long term customer relationships. Although her work was a large part of her life, with the free time that she did have, she got the most enjoyment from doing for others which her entire family can attest to. Patty had a wonderful personality and sense of humor and was always a pleasure to be around.
Some of her favorite hobbies included playing the lottery and visiting casinos, watching her favorite shows and movies (sometimes many times over), and taking various trips to Europe, Las Vegas, Cape Cod and the Caribbean with her family.
Patty will be so greatly missed by all who knew her. As Patty was the most selfless person we knew and never wanted to be a burden to anyone.
Her wishes were that there are no services. May she rest in the sweetest peace and now be with those loved ones who passed before her.
