Obituary

Michael Iannaccone of Reading, formerly of Medford, passed away at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington on Friday, November 8th. He was 81.

Born on May 19, 1938 in East Boston, he was the son of the late Michael and Mary (LaSalla) Iannaccone. Mike met his future wife Linda (Magaldi) in the fifth grade and the two were reunited some years later and enjoyed 57 years of marriage. They lived most of that time in Medford, living the past few years in Reading. Michael served in the U.S. Army and after his discharge worked nearly 25 years with Eastern Airlines. After the company’s closure, Michael was the owner and operator of Lyon’s Liquors in Malden and continued there untill he retired. A devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend to many, there was nothing Mike enjoyed more than spending time with his family, especially his three grandchildren. They were the center of his world.

The loving husband of 57 years to Linda (Magaldi) Iannaccone, he was a loving father of Debra Julin and her husband Erik of North Andover, Diane Amerault and her husband Bob of Reading. He was a devoted “Papa” to Rob and Amanda Amerault, and Magnus Julin. Mike is survived by his siblings Connie Iannaccone and his wife Arlene of Medford, and Margaret Fulchino of Danvers.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit at the Dello Russo Funeral Home 306 Main Street Medford, Wednesday November 13th from 9AM – 12PM concluding with a funeral service at Noon. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Mike’s name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Memorials Processing, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
