Mary Hall Mullis, 82, of Tifton passed away Tuesday, November 5, 2019, at the Rehabilitation Center of South Georgia in Tifton. Her funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, November 8, 2019, at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Kelltown with the Rev. Chip Grantham officiating. Mrs. Mullis will be laid to rest at Old Ty Ty Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Nat McCalvin officiating. The family will receive friends Friday, November 8, 2019, from 2:00 p.m. until the hour of the service at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Kelltown.
Scott Dunn, Brent Dunn, Chad Davis, Blake Davis, Tanner Douglas and Stan Yawn will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be the Deacons of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Kelltown.
Born October 25, 1937 in Enigma, Mrs. Mullis was the daughter of the late Robert Lee Hall and Vernice Davis Hall. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Carl Thomas “Tommy” Mullis; one brother, Jimmy Lee Hall; and one sister, Shelby Jane Hall Yawn. Before retiring, she worked as a secretary at J. P. Stevens; Tifton’s First United Methodist Church; and she worked for Belk’s. She enjoyed walking and hiking and she was a great cook and served outstanding Sunday dinners. She loved gardening and growing flowers and, most of all, she loved her grandchildren.
Mrs. Mullis is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Chris and Joanne Mullis of Tifton and Robert Thomas and Fran Mullis of Valdosta; one daughter, Michele Mullis Masterson and Bill Kreschollek and his children, Lindsey Kreschollek and William Kreschollek, all of Ty Ty; seven grandchildren and their spouses, Eric and Angel Mullis, Kyle Mullis, Bryan and Jessi Mullis, Kevin Mullis, Britni and John White, Ashli and Jason Cottle and Hayden Masterson; and seven great-grandchildren, Madison Taylor, Kelsey Mullis, E J Mullis, Raegan Mullis, Lincoln Mullis, Jaxson White and Laini White.
