Irene Palmariello, originally from the North End, formerly a longtime resident of Malden, passed away at the Medford Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Medford on Wednesday, October 30, 2019. She was 89 years old.
Born in the North End of Boston, Massachusetts, on February 13, 1930, she was the beloved daughter of the late Pasquale and Giusippina (Polcaro) Palmariello. She is survived by her loving brother, Alfred Palmariello of West Roxbury, her sister, Laura Palmariello of Stoneham and many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Carmella Palmariello, Margaret (Palmariello) Sapochetti, Domenic Palmariello, Pasquale Palmariello, Joseph Palmariello, Mary Palmariello and Josephine Palmariello.
She gratefully appreciated and loved the residents and staff at the Medford Nursing & Rehab Center in Medford. Through their kindness and caring, they brought her much joy during this past year.
Irene loved all animals and nurtured many. She enjoyed cooking for her large family. She was an avid Red Sox fan. Above all, Irene was a very devoted daughter, sister and aunt. She will be dearly missed.
Funeral service will be privately held.
