Willie Fenichel (“Farmer Willie”), 47, died October 9 after a brief illness. He leaves a hole in the hearts of everyone who knew and loved him, including his beloved animals. Willie grew up in Watertown, Massachusetts, graduated from Watertown High and Suffolk University and then spent a wonderful 10 years in Truro, tending to his goats, dogs, trees and garden as well as creating and sharing his home-brew ginger beer.
Willie’s love of animals was inspiring, and he paid great attention to animal sanctuaries and rescue organizations. To honor Willie, we ask you to be kind to your people and animals and consider a donation to your choice of farm sanctuary or animal rescue organization. His favorites were Belgian Sheep Dog and Korean Meat Dog rescues and Farm Sanctuary.
