Mrs. Virginia Mary (Ferrell) Simmons of Medford, formerly of Arlington and Somerville, died at the Winchester Nursing Center on Sunday evening, January 22, 2006, following a lengthy illness. She was 82 years old.
Mrs. Simmons was the beloved wife of the late Lambro J. Simmons.
Mrs. Simmons was a communicant of St. Clements Church for many years and was a real family person. She and her beloved husband were married on October 11, 1945.
She was the Loving mother and will be sorely missed by Jacqueline M. and her husband William Lally of Winthrop, Maureen M. Simmons of Kennebunk, ME, Irene Simmons and her husband Larry Butler of Los Angeles, CA and Patricia Simmons of Medford; 4 grandchildren, Jim and Bryan Lally, Shauna Lally-Firicano and Gianna Butler; great-granddaughter, Josephine. Her funeral was from the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Avenue, MEDFORD, Wednesday, January 25, 2006 at 8:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated in St. Clements Church, 71 Warner Street, Medford at 10 AM. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend. Interment, St. Patrick Cemetery, Lowell. In lieu of flowers, donations in Virginia’s memory may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, 89 South Street, Boston, MA 02111.
