Obituary

James Conlon, 91, of Spencer Road in Smithfield passed Monday at the Morgan Health Center, Johnston, surrounded by his family. He was the husband of the late Annette (Lupien) Conlon. They had been married for 66 years.

Born in Providence, a son of the late Joseph and Mary (Mcnally) Conlon. He had lived in Smithfield for 56 years previously living in Providence. He was an WWII Army Veteran.

James had been a Lithographer with Livermore and Knight before retiring.

He leaves his children, Anne M. Pate of Smithfield, Cathy Arciero of Avon, Ct, James Conlon of Bangor, ME, Kevin Conlon of Johnston and Stephen Conlon of Stonington, CT. He also leaves 12 Grandchildren and 11 Great-Grandchildren. He leaves his brother Joseph Conlon of Warwick. He was the brother of the late Mary Conlon, Anne Conlon and Dorothy Conlon.

His funeral will be held Monday, November 4th at 8:30am from the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on at 9:30am in St. Philip Church, 622 Putnam Pike, Smithfield. Burial with Military Honors will be in the RI Veteran’s Cemetery, Exeter. Visitation Sunday November 3rd from 4-7pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society, c/o St. Philip Church, 622 Putnam Pike, Smithfield, RI 02828
