Ruthie Crumm Collins, 79, of Tifton passed away Wednesday, October 23, 2019, at Tift Regional Medical Center. A graveside funeral service will be held for Ms. Collins at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 27, 2019, at Oak Ridge Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest. The Rev. Reginald Chung and the Rev. Michael Marchant will officiate. The family will receive friends Sunday, October 27, 2019, at the graveside immediately following the service. The family asked that those attending the service dress casually.
Born March 27, 1940 in Macon, Ms. Collins was the daughter of the late James H. Crumm and Ruth Harrell Crumm. Before retiring, she was employed with Burlen Corporation, the Tift County Recreation Department and Goody’s Department Store. She was a member of Tifton’s First Presbyterian Church and former member of the Tifton Junior Woman’s Club.
Ms. Collins is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law, Jay Collins and Kelley and Kari Collins, all of Tifton and Lee and Julie Collins of Thomasville; one daughter, Christy Collins Williamson of Tifton; five grandchildren, Brooke Collins of Valdosta, Sean Collins of Ty Ty, Hannah Collins of Carrollton and Colin Williamson and Camden Williamson, both of Tifton; and two step-grandchildren, Chess Mangham and Coleman Mangham.
