PEABODY - Mary (Piccola) DiFruscio, 98, of Peabody, formerly of Lynn & Salem, died Friday, January 20, 2006 at the Pilgrim Rehabilitation Center in Peabody following a long illness. She was the wife of the later Michael DiFruscio.
Born and raised in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Mary (Cramaldi) Piccola.
Mrs. DiFruscio lived in Peabody for many years until moving to Salem in the mid 1970's, where she resided until going into the nursing home..
She is survived by one son, Raymond DiFruscio of Foster City, CA, one sister Josephine Phillips of Daytona Beach FL and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Joseph, Frank, Charles and Ernest Piccola, Silvia Adorisio, Sarah Marasco and Mildred Cable.
Her funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, January 24, 2006 at 9 am at St. John The Baptist Church Peabody. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery, Salem. Relatives and friend respectfully invited. There are no visiting hours.
