Angelo Sabbio, passed away at the Life Care Center, Stoneham on Wednesday, after a brief illness. The husband of Concetta (Infantino) he was a 102 years old.
Born in Siracusa, Italy, the son of the late Carmella (Valente) and Francesco Sabbio. After setteling in Boston from Italy, Angelo moved his family to Medford where he lived for over forty years.
He owned and operated with his sons Angelo Sabbio & Sons plastering company, working on many construction projects in greater Boston.
Angelo shared a close relationship with all of his family and in particular his grand and great grandchildren. Surviving in addition to his wife Concetta are three daughters, Camille Piazza, of Mashpee, Ann Gianci of Burlington, and Marie Chagnon of Douglas; three sons Sal of Lynn, Gino of Revere, and Francis of Pelham, NH., and a sister Maria Greco of Italy. Sixteen loving grandchildren and twenty-four great grandchildren.
He is predeceased by a son Frank Sabbio; three sisters Josephine Desclosue, Marianina Balurdi, and Santina Beliego.
His funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home 306 Main St. Medford on Saturday, July 6, at 8 a.m. Followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. James Church, 779 Fellsway, Medford at 9. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
