Obituary

Clyde Maurine Giddens Frint, 90, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died at her family’s home on Wednesday, October 16, 2019, in Fitzgerald, Georgia.

Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Friday, October 18, 2019, at Crossview Baptist Church with the Rev. Jeff Parmer officiating. Interment will be at the Evergreen Cemetery in Fitzgerald, Georgia. The family will receive friends Thursday evening, from 6 PM until 8 PM, at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.

Clyde was born December 19, 1928 to James and Vinnie Rycroft Farmer. She married W.C. Giddens and lived in Fitzgerald where they raised their three children. Following his death, she married Harry Frint. Clyde worked at Fitzgerald Nursing Home for several years, but she was best known for her sewing skills. She was a seamstress to many people and served them for several generations. She enjoyed visiting her friends and often baked cakes to share with them. Her chocolate cakes and fig preserves were enjoyed by many. She was an active member of Crossview Baptist Church.

She is survived by her children: Tommy and Sujette Giddens of Fitzgerald, Billy Giddens of Fitzgerald and Ronnie and Patsy Giddens of Fitzgerald; siblings: Dan and Belinda Farmer of Leesburg and Jackie Farmer, a nephew who was raised as a brother. Also, she has 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, William Clinton “Slim” Giddens and Harry Frint; siblings: Willie J. Farmer, Ermon Farmer, Thomas Earl Farmer, Jewel Farmer, Luther Byrd Farmer and James Clinton Farmer.
