Kenneth Gerald “Gerry” Flinchum, 68, of Wilcox, County, died Monday, October 14, 2019, at Dorminy Medical Center in Fitzgerald, Georgia.
Memorial services will be held 11 AM, Thursday, October 17, 2019, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel, in Fitzgerald. Interment will be private.
Mr. Flinchum was born July 3, 1951, in Tifton, Georgia, to the late Kenneth Greer Flinchum and Julia Juanita “Nita” Walls. Mr. Flinchum was a welder for Marvair. He enjoyed farming, the outdoors, hunting, handcrafts, camping, his family and a ice cold beer. He was a member of Christian Hill.
He is survived by his wife Sheila Rogers Flinchum of Wilcox County; children: Jerry Smith Flinchum of Wilcox County, Eddie Guy Flinchum of Ben Hill and Dorothy Juanita Flinchum Sercer of Wilcox; grandchildren: Keith Haman, Chris Sercer, Brittany & Kent Mauldin, Angel Flinchum, Leslie Flinchum, Tristan Flinchum, Emily Flinchum and Hope Flinchum; ten great-grandchildren and a brother, Jackie Ray Flinchum of Worth County. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Gary Flinchum; a grandchild, Destiny Sercer and a sister, Tina Jones.
