Dorothy Ferro, 92, a resident of Cape Coral and Fort Myers, FL since 2012, formerly of South Dartmouth, MA, passed away Friday, October 11, 2019 in Fort Myers. She was born August 10, 1927 in New Bedford, MA to the late John and Mary C. (Medeiros) Pacheco.
Dorothy was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in South Dartmouth, MA. She was one of 11 brothers and sisters. Family activities were always large and lively. A special gathering point was the family beach “Palimo” in Fairhaven, MA. Dorothy enjoyed collecting antiques, gardening, and participating in family activities.
She is survived by her loving son, Daniel G. Lima and his wife Tracy of Cape Coral, FL; two sisters, Theresa Pereira of Fairhaven, MA, and Norma Ferro and her husband George of Mansfield, MA; grandson, Joshua Lima and his wife Christie of Bremerton, WA; as well as two great grandsons, Issac Lima and Hunter Lima.
Dorothy was preceded in death by both of her husbands, Gilbert Lima and Noe Ferro and was the sister of the late Arthur Pacheco, Joseph Pacheco, Gilbert Pacheco, Jesse Pacheco, Carlos Pacheco, Constance "Connie" Motta, John Pacheco, Jr., and Manuel "Sam" Pacheco.
Her Graveside Service will be held Saturday, October 19th at 9 AM in St. John’s Cemetery.
