LOWELL—Madeline Cosgrove, 91 years old, a lifelong resident of Lowell, died Friday, January 20th, at Saints Memorial Medical Center. She had resided at 15 Jaycee Place, in Lowell, for the past 29 years.
She was born in Lowell, on August 15, 1914, a daughter of the late Christopher and Emma (Doucette) Cosgrove, and was a graduate of the Immaculate Conception Grammar School and the Immaculate Conception High School.
Miss Cosgrove had been employed as a Turner by the William T. Toner Company. She was a lifelong communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church, and held membership in the Women’s Guild of that parish, as well as the League of St. Jude. She was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling.
Surviving her are several cousins: Karen Killoy, of Acton; Roberta Boyd, of Lowell; Brenda Murray, of Chevy Chase, MD; Brian Scully of Lowell; Marcia Scully, of Chelmsford; Craig Smith, of Newburyport; and many friends at Jaycee Place.
Friends may call on Tuesday, January 24th, from 10:30 to 11:30 AM at the MAHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 187 Nesmith Street, (Rte.38). Her Funeral Mass to follow at 12 noon at the IMMACULATE CONCEPTION CHURCH, Lowell. Burial in St. Patrick Cemetery.
