Providence - Beverly (Goes) Amaral age 79 of New Bedford, passed away on Saturday October 12, 2019 at Hope Hospice in Providence Rhode Island. She was the loving wife of Clement M. “Manny” Amaral and the daughter of the late Arthur Goes and Adeline (Souza) Goes.
Born in New Bedford, Ma, she worked as a bookkeeper for Acushnet Town Hall. Beverly was a Third Order Franciscan and was a member of the Mount Carmel Seniors.
Her family includes her 4 children, Lynn Amaral of New Bedford, Adeline Rego and her husband Paul of Dartmouth, Clement Amaral and his wife Kim of New Bedford and Laurie Young and her husband Bruce of New Bedford; 7 grandchildren, Vanessa West, Stephanie Burek and her husband David, Tom Serpa and his fiancé Sarah Andrescik, Charissa Bringman and her husband Jacob, Brianna Amaral and her fiancé Ciaran Obrien, Nathaniel Amaral and Christopher Young; 3 great-grandchildren; her brothers, Everett Goes and his wife Lois; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. Beverly was also the sister of the late Leonard Goes and his late wife Isabel.
Beverly’s visiting hours will be held Tuesday evening, October 15th from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. Her funeral will be on Wednesday morning, beginning in the funeral home at 9:30 A.M. followed with a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 10:30 A.M. Burial will follow in Rural Cemetery.
