Obituary

Catherine “Casey” L. (Hazlett) Conley, 97, of Walpole died October 11 in Norwood Hospital. She was the wife of the late David I. Conley who died in 1955.

Born in Walpole, August 8, 1922, the daughter of the late James and Joanna (Mahoney) Hazlett, Casey was a lifelong Walpole resident.

A graduate of Walpole High School she also was a graduate of the New England Hospital for Woman and Children.
Mrs. Conley was a Registered Nurse.

She served in the Army Nurse Corp during World War II as a 2nd Lieutenant.

Catherine was devoted to her church and helping others. She had worked at the Blessed Sacrament rectory and had been a Eucharistic minister.

Casey’s family was the most important thing in her life.

She is survived by her children, David Conley and his wife Barbara of Norfolk, Mary Antczak and her late husband Francis of North Port, Florida, Catherine Cornoni and her husband Paul of Millis, James Conley of Siesta Key, Florida and Patricia Butler and her husband Thomas of Easton.

She was the sister of the late Daniel, Thomas, James, Mary and Joanna.

She is also survived by her 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Her funeral will be held on Tuesday October 15 from the Ginley Funeral Home (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com)892 Main Street, Walpole at 11:15 a.m., followed by a funeral mass in Blessed Sacrament Church at Noon.

Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery, South Walpole.

Visiting hours will be on Monday from 4-7 p.m.
