Mary Ann Scannell, 80, of Manchester, died January 20, 2006, at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester.
She was born in Berlin, NH, September 12, 1925, and was the daughter of Joseph and Sophie (Gingue) Nadeau. She lived in Berlin for 45 years and had been a Manchester resident since 1970.
While in Berlin she worked as a waitress at the Town & Country Inn and also at the Hotel Costello. After moving to Manchester she worked at the Manchester Country Club, the Chateau Restaurant, and at Hampshire Hills.
An avid golfer, she was a member of the Intervale Country Club, and the NH Women’s Golfing Association. She was also an avid cribbage player.
She leaves two daughters, Sharon Washington and her husband William, of Cocoa, FL, and Doreen Roy and her husband David, of Berlin, NH; 4 grandchildren, James Dalphonse, Lori Wedge, Benjamin Roy, and Katherine Roy; one great grandchild, Garrett Wedge; a sister, Rita Lukens of Huntsville, Alabama.
A Mass of Christian burial was Tuesday January 24, 2006 at St. Marie Church, 378 Notre Dame Ave., Manchester. Encryptment followed in Mount Calvary Mausoleum.
