John Edward Southerland, 54, of Anderson died October 7, 2019 at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital.
John was born October 12, 1964, in Anderson, the son of Samuel E. and Janice (Raison) Southerland. He was employed by Harvest Market and Swifty Oil. He enjoyed fishing, baseball, IU Basketball and NASCAR especially Jimmy Johnson.
He is survived by his wife 32 years, Rebecca "Becky" (England) Southerland of Anderson whom he married June 27, 1987; three sons, Adam Leon Southerland, John Edward Southerland Jr., and Benjamin Joseph Southerland; adopted daughters, Amber Southerland and Brittany Simpson; three granddaughters, Lindsay Southerland, Hannah Southerland and June Southerland; brothers and sisters, Samuel Southerland, Jr.; Bill Raison, Vicki Davidson; Carol Blakely; Harold and Linda Jackson; many nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews and close friends that were family to him. He loved you all.
John was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Larry Southerland, Gary Southerland; Randy Davidson; very close friend, Greg Thompson; sisters, Debbie Southerland; Lorra Southerland and Debbie Southerland.
Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. on Sunday, October 13, 2019 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service.
Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2p.m. until the service at 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
