Obituary

TEWKSBURY: Joann L. (Black) White, age 70, a resident of Tewksbury for over 60 years, died unexpectedly on Saturday, January 21, 2006 at her home.
She was the wife of John R. White, Sr., with whom she celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary on April 27, 2005.
Born in Wayland on November 25, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Walter W. and Helen M. (Turner) Black.
Mrs. White was raised in Everett and Tewksbury.
She attended Tewksbury schools and Tewksbury High School.
Prior to her retirement in 1998, she was employed as an assembler by the Compugraphic Company of Wilmington, where she worked for over 30 years.
Mrs. White enjoyed crafts, crossword puzzles, fresh and saltwater fishing and loved spending time with her grandchildren and friends.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son; Michael White and his wife Michelle of Dracut, five grandchildren; Cody, Dalton, Hayley, Michael Jr., and Ryley White; her daughter-in-law; Kerry White of Townsend; one sister; Pauline Marciello of Tewksbury; one brother; Eugene Black of Winslow, ME; her sister-in-law; Nancy Black of Somerville; also many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. White was the mother of the late John R. White, Jr. and sister of the late Walter W., Black, Jr., Ronald A. and Ottie O. Black
Calling hours Monday, January 23rd , 4-8 p.m., at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury. Funeral service Tuesday, January 24th, 10 a.m., at the funeral home.
