Joseph Dumas, 75, of New Bedford died Sunday June 30, 2002 unexpectedly at St. Luke's Hospital. He was the son of the late George and Beatrice (Peters) Dumas.
A lifelong resident of New Bedford, he was a communicant of Our Lady of Purgatory Church.
Mr. Dumas was formerly employed by the Firestone Mill and the Hathaway Laundry Company.
He was a member of St. Joseph's Sodality, and was an active participant in church functions and in the Lebanese-American community. An avid walker, he enjoyed participating in the activities at the Bedford Village Nursing Home.
Survivors include his close friends, Octavia David, Beatrice Howe, and Alfred Attallah.He was the brother of the late Anthony Thomas Dumas.
